The Police: Mesage in a Box

Whew! I've got this rare and old album of The Police last week and my world turns up-side-down! HIndi ito yung Pinoy Band na D' Pulis, yung kumanta ng "Mukhang Paa" na may album name na "Pulis Heart" tapos yung bokalista nila ay yung nasa commercial ng Yakult yung nagsasabi ng "OK ka ba Tyan!?"
Well so much of that. Why rare and old! Kasi naka-cassete format pa! Yes, meron pa ganun klase ng recording ngayon kahit ang mundo ay puno na ibang-ibang teknolohiya.
So, what's the fuzz? Nothing really, sabagay sa mga new generation music fanatic dyan sino nga ba ang The Police.
Hey! Di pa ako matanda ano! Ang una ko na close-encounter sa The Police ay sa pamamagitan lamang ng isang music review ng isang fanatic.(yes, kahit na naging isa akong local music disc jockey dito sa isang local radio FM station dito sa Tarlac, di ko pa natandaan na napatugtog ko ang mga kanta ng The Police.) Kaya malalim ang music taste ko kasi dati ako DJ, hehe!
Well sino ba itong credible writer na ito? (actually wala syang kwenta). Joke! hehe!idol ko po ito, sya lang naman si Jessica Zafra, with the capital Z. Actually ganyan daw talaga ang mga writer, nagbibigayan at nagbabasa ng mga info sa mga kapwa writer(nagbuhat ng lamesa).
Eh! ano naman ang kinalaman at nalalaman ni Jessica Zafra para tumaas ang credibilidad nya sa music?
Actually, i can put my trust on Jessica Zafra alone, without the music history muna, nanalo lang naman na sya ng Palanca Award (co'mon, halos lahat ng writer pangarap yan) kung di ako nagkakamali sa Short Story na "Manananggal sa Maynila" na naging movie na rin yata. Nagsusulat din sya dati sa Broad Sheet, name ng article nya is Twisted. So, what the hell! ano kinalaman nya sa music(screaming loud).
Naging Manager lang naman sya ng No.1 Pinoy Alternative Rock Band of All-time: The Eraserheads at sya ang nagsulat ng Fruitcake, yung book version ng Cristmass Album ng Eraserheads with the same nameeee!!!!!!..................................................

San na nga ba tayo? Ah! oo sa The Police pala. Ok well, last week nga ay nakabili ako ng album ng The Police:Message in a Box, a cassete version of all their recordings.
The verdict: well the music sounds good to me, less all the awards that they have. Sounds like an old Solid Rock Band and not pretending to be one. When i say "solid rock" what i mean is its a true-blooded rock music/song. Hindi tunog boy-band, kuha nyo. Kahit hindi gaano mabigat yung mga drums at hindi gaano namumutakti sa lead, alam mo at tunog rock pa rin sya, yun ang "solid rock" para sa akin at yun ang The Police.
Some of the song ng The Police na familiar at lagi na nating naririnig(kung hindi pa, tanong mo sa tatay at nanay mo ito) "Roxanne", "Everything she does is Magic", "Every breath you take", "King of Pain", "De Do Do Do De Da Da Da"(what an illiterate song!joke, well ang composer lang naman nila ay dating isang English Teacher and his name is Gordon Matthew Summer aka Sting at ang on-air name ko naman is Jads Summer! Not bad!), and "Message in the Bottle" (kung saan dito rin kinuha yun name ng compilation album at dito ko rin kinuha yun additonal name ng Blog ko: Message in a Blog!). This are just some of their more than a dozen hits sa US BillBoards at Rock Hall of Fame lang naman sila.
Well, not bad for me 'coz i've got this album for only 350 pesos! 4 cassete tapes in one Box! This is part of history at kahit cassete format ito, sure naman ako na hindi pirated ito. I hate pirated items and theres nothing beats the real thing!
